Den danske Pugwash-gruppe anbefaler Open World konferencen som afholdes 19-21 november 2025 i anledning af 75 års jubilæet for Niels Bohrs åbne brev til FN. Fra annonceringen af konferencen:
This year, on the 75th anniversary of Bohr’s open letter to the United Nations, we present the Open World Conference 2025, An Open World? The Contemporary Relevance of Niels Bohr’s Open Letter to the United Nations of 1950. At a time when many are pondering what openness means in a world marked by growing tensions and global threats, the Open World Conference 2025 brings us together to revisit Niels Bohr’s visionary letter of 1950 to the United Nations. The conference explores the current boundaries and possibilities of scientific and political openness, focusing on themes such as Bohr’s legacy and its present-day significance; the legitimate limits of openness; the challenges of data and artificial intelligence; the risks of nuclear threats; and the role of young researchers in an increasingly closed world.
